CHILDREN'S MINISTRY at Westgate
is extremely important to us.
Our goal is to work alongside parents in developing the spiritual faith of children so that they have a solid foundation for their lives built on the knowledge of God and His Word AND that they would come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
To accomplish this, we have a ministry team to share the responsibilities of our goal. This includes the Preschool and Children's Committees, Vacation Bible School Committee, Sunday School teachers, Awana leaders and helpers, Nursery workers, Mothers Day Out workers, Children's Choir leaders, and many other men, women and young people.
If you would like to join our team, look at the following qualifications to see if you would fit in
1. You must have trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior.
If you have an interest in joining our team, please call Jody Lee (409-866-3417 or 658-6708) for an application. There are several spots we will be filling in the next few weeks to prepare for promotion and back to school activities.

AWANA is the leading ministry to help local churches reach children & youth with the Gospel of Christ and train them to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. We offer a variety of clubs to help your kids. We follow the BISD calendar and do not have Awana Clubs during the summer months.
AWANA blends teaching, scripture memorization & tons of fun. Westgate's AWANA ministry will impact not only your child but your family & our community. We are working to equip parents, train volunteers, & make our children's ministry all God wants it to be.

Westgate’s Preschool Ministry is more than just childcare. Each class focuses on reinforcing the Biblical foundations parents provide at home for their babies, toddlers and preschoolers. It is our belief that parents are the primary faith trainers of their children and what we do at Westgate is build upon the home ministries and equip parents to be the faith-trainers God has called them to be. Sunday School classes, Awana Puggles and Cubbies, and Extended Session (during morning worship services for birth through four years old) are available for our preschoolers.
